Tackling the challenge posed by plastics to the environment.

CAPTION: Left Briga Hynes, Chair adjudication committee, Sarah Keyes and Brian O'Callaghan EcoStraws founders and Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection Pat Breen.

In December 2018 EcoStraws were accredited as ones to watch Business All-Stars by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

With over 1 million plastic straws used daily in Ireland, the initiative shown by the company’s founders Brian, Sarah and Anthony to tackle the challenge posed by plastics to the environment is inspired and for the first time allows for the possibility to source a range of eco-friendly straws from one source.

EcoStraws supply many different types of Eco-friendly reusable straws and 100% biodegradable disposable straws. Their stock of reusable eco-friendly straws include Stainless Steel, Glass, Bamboo and Silicone straws.

They manufacture these from high quality materials which can be reused again and again and you can store them in your cutlery drawer or carry them with you in their drawstring pouches.

Their biodegradable EcoStraws are available in Wheat, PLA, and Paper, and they even stock Edible Straws so you can have your straw and eat it too!

EcoStraws are sourced from 100% natural materials which means they are completely biodegradable. Once they have passed the prime of their life, you can put them in your compost bin.

EcoStraws come in different shapes and sizes, some with a bend, some straight, some short and some long.

Such is the incredible impact that EcoStraws has made in the fight against plastic Brian was recently recognised by Global Shakers as one of 15 leading innovators in tackling single-use plastic.

The All-Ireland Business Foundation is delighted to see this accredited Business All-Star continue to grow and we wish Brian, Sarah and Anthony every continued success.
