About Clare Family Resource Centre Creche
The Clare Family Resource Centre Ltd is a voluntary organisation with charitable status which has been in existence since 1993.The start-up of the Centre was motivated by a concern to meet the growing demand for childcare facilities in Ennis and particularly by the need to cater for those who are not in a financial position to avail of the services provided by the private sector. The Clare Family Resource Centre was the first Community Creche in Co. Clare.
We operate under a voluntary Board of Directors consisting of members of the community, staff and parents. The Centre’s objective is to support and assist families and children in Clare through the provision of accessible, affordable, high quality childcare in a warm caring and safe environment.
Message from Maureen Keane - Manager, Clare Family Resource Centre Creche
I am overwhelmed at the recognition from the Business All Stars Awards 2019. As the Manager of Clare Family Resource Centre I see this as affirmation for the childcare profession, my wonderful staff, our parents/guardians and the children who make us who we are.
In the current climate where Childcare is a difficult subject, this exposes a different type of care. The commitment of families and children is supported and encouraged to create an atmosphere that nurtures parents and children to become the best that they can be!
An Manager of large Centre I feel the Business All Star Award acknowledges the business side of Childcare which involves accountability of grants, payments, employments of staff, upkeep of the facility, concerns for health and safety of staff and children. Inspection by multiple agencies, ongoing training etc. We are cognizant of governance and I work with the Board of Management to ensure that all monies and funding is approved and accounted for professionally.
I see this award as both a personal and collective recognition of the value that placed on Childcare. In a week where Emis has been recognized as Ireland’s tidiest large urban Centre, the Clare Family Resource centre is also being recognized for its contribution to Childcare and as many parents will say, “It’s the best kept secret in County Clare.”
I am proud to say that I am the Manager of the Clare Family Recourse Centre and happy to have dedicated the past 19 years to supporting Childcare and the families in Ennis
