.IE rounds off a challenging year with an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contribution to the Digital Advancement of Irish Business from the All-Ireland Business Foundation.
The Award of Excellence is the All-Ireland Business Foundation’s highest honour. This is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.
The Accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.
Responding to today’s announcement, Oonagh McCutcheon, Corporate Communications Manager says, “We are delighted to have been awarded for our outstanding contribution to the digital advancement of Irish business. The All-Ireland Business Foundation is an excellent forum for exchanging ideas and mixing with leaders in a range of different business areas. We look forward to continuing our involvement with the AIBF in 2021 and beyond”.
Dr Hynes said the Accreditation, which is now held by over 450 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.
“We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics”, she says.
Websites are highly valued by businesses that have them. According to our .IE #TippingPoint Report, the majority of SMEs see their website as important in driving awareness of their business; 77% see it as important in generating sales. Read more➡️https://t.co/9RATfgmoII pic.twitter.com/AP5Yx4nFGu
