Meylers Fish Merchants in the Bullring, Wexford was recently awarded the coveted Business All-Star Accreditation by the All-Ireland Business Foundation. The accreditation is an independently verified standard mark for businesses based on performance, trust and customer service – several clients of Meylers including top County Wexford hotels and restaurants were contacted for feedback as part of the process.
The award was presented by the MEP and former Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Frances Fitzgerald to sisters Linda and Gillian Meyler of the leading family-run Wexford company at a Business All-Stars reception in GAA headquarters.
The All-Ireland Business Foundation which audits companies for the awards is the national body responsible for identifying and accrediting best-in-class Irish businesses as Business All-Stars.
Accredited companies must be progressive indigenous Irish businesses that meet the highest standards. Achieving accreditation is seen as a way of building credibility, gaining consumer trust and raising the profile of a business enterprise.
